Mama Manoush, a Lebanese restaurant in Brunswick, Melbourne, approached Ace's Haus with a vision to launch new designs. They needed a graphic design solution for their restaurant, including a brand identity that would appeal to both locals and tourists, while capturing the authentic spirit of Lebanese culture.
The primary goals of this restaurant graphic design project were to develop a unique and cohesive restaurant brand identity that reflects the concept and values of the business, and to create a visually engaging menu design that enhances the dining experience, aligns with the brand aesthetic, and supports both readability and sales strategy.
Our team began with in-depth research into Lebanese cuisine, the local dining scene, and competing Middle Eastern restaurants to understand the visual and cultural landscape. We then worked closely with the founders of Mama Manoush, a modern Lebanese restaurant, to develop a distinctive and authentic restaurant brand identity. The goal was to create branding and visual elements that reflect the restaurant’s lively, communal dining experience while honouring the rich heritage of Lebanese food culture. This strategic approach ensured that the graphic design was not only visually appealing but also culturally relevant and aligned with the restaurant's values.
For Mama Manoush, we created a custom menu design for the restaurant that was both functional and visually compelling. The layout featured a modular structure and bold, legible typography, making it easy for diners to navigate the food and drink offerings. Our approach to restaurant menu graphic design emphasised clarity, balance, and brand consistency, ensuring that the menu not only complemented the overall interior aesthetic but also enhanced the dining experience. Every detail, from section spacing to iconography, was crafted to reflect the vibrant identity of this modern Lebanese restaurant.
The new restaurant branding and menu design delivered strong, measurable results. Mama Manoush established a cohesive and memorable brand identity that resonated with customers and set the venue apart in a crowded hospitality market. The visually appealing and easy-to-read menus led to increased customer engagement and contributed to a noticeable uplift in sales.
